I have checked your file and the price increase is based on the age of your vehicle and that alone.

Our underwriters assess the risk associated with a vehicle based on its age. Last year, your vehicle fell into the category of new to 5-year-old vehicles. However, this year it has entered a different category along with all other vehicles that are between 6 to 10 years old.

That said the policy still provides tremendous value for UK cover all year round including Homestart and National relay plus unlimited trips to Europe for up to 90 days at a time for electrical or mechanical breakdowns, accidents, fire, vehicle stolen, attempted theft, vandalism, flat tyres, misfueling, lack of fuel and loss of keys in vehicle.

I hope that provides a clearer explanation and I wish you safe travels, both abroad and here in the UK
